We live every day like it’s so far away
But the years fall like stars
and our hearts fall numb
What if… all we have is this
To be in love with
Reflections of eyes that aren’t blind
to the blue hues and purple swirls and sandy dusk of the sea and sky
Never to feel in valleys of pain
But only dance in the beautiful rain
As the the sand passes through your feet with each fleeting day
I will not make space for the emptiness but sing with the sweet laughter of just the passing sun watching birds fly high
What if this is all we are here to be in love with?
Each space in between
People sit in mansions on hills comparing property gates and numb to their loves gaze
While some see deep reflection in the crashing waves paying attention to the shifting moons and their lover’s face
The lights of the sky and the time passing by that is never long enough to love so deep

The Seeds We Sow
Spring is all around and I am seriously amazed by my senses and abilities to love every breath of it’s beauty. My imperfection wraps completely around the intricacies and air of it’s beauty and I melt in and become more beautiful in it. Beautiful people have come into my life. I’ve been taking each step melodically feeling through the reminders and lessons of my past and the healing of my present creating the bliss of my future. The seeds I sow everyday, from this moment forward will lend itself to the gardens I will dwell and take with me the loves and flowers of my life. In the garden of my wanderings and dreams of my mind.

  • Frances: Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you. Like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly. You shouldn't have to wake up day after day after that, trying to understand how in the world you didn't know. The light just never went on, you know. I must have known, of course, but I was too scared to see the truth. Then fear just makes you so stupid.
  • Martini: No, it's not stupid, Signora Mayes. L'amore e cieco.
  • Frances: Oh, love is blind. Yeah, we have that saying too.
  • Martini: Everybody has that saying because it's true everywhere.

This fragile castle washed away
The tides that crowd my mind
Can I breathe a breath that’s real
As a watch castles wash away

"Why is it nearly impossible for women, even journalists, to talk about other women without bringing up looks? I don’t know. But I do have a solution. Stop talking about women’s looks in articles that have nothing to do with women’s looks. I did it. I didn’t once mention the looks of Torie Bosch or Alessandra Stanley. I wrote about how shitty they were to other women in their articles without once mentioning anything about what they look like. I didn’t even Google Image search them. I promise it’s possible to talk about the merits of a woman’s creative work without talking about how weird her hair is or how much her butt weighs. All it takes is retraining your brain to stop being a superficial dick."
